The Scottish Energy Systems Group (SESG) was inaugurated in January 1999 and comprises a spectrum of energy sector organisations: architectural and engineering design practices, local authorities, component and system manufacturers, utilities, renewable industries, software vendors and research bodies. The objective of SESG is to transfer knowledge and systems into their businesses that enable them to undertake energy and environmental analyses in-house as a matter of routine. SESG is hosted by the Energy Systems Research Unit at the University of Strathclyde.
SESG assists its members to evolve in three important respects: better design of energy systems through integrated performance assessment; enhanced productivity through reduced design development times; and improved inter-organisational collaboration through technology-centred operation. Members of SESG also benefit from automatic membership of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA), of which SESG is the Scottish affiliate. This links us to other country affiliates of IBPSA and their member companies and organisations.
Join our email list to keep up to date with SESG's programme of seminars, workshops, training courses, and relevant events by other organisations. Many of these events are free. Also, receive regular news items about all kinds of activities related to building and energy systems worldwide. You can also post requests for information, or comments, to other members of the list.
